Hello everyone,
We bought a house in the Reutlingen district last year, and now it’s time to work on the garden and outdoor areas. They are currently in a completely unfinished state.

We had a landscape architect create a plan for us. Now we would like to know roughly how much this might cost (excluding the pool!). I understand it’s difficult to provide an exact figure, but a ballpark estimate like $50,000, $75,000, or $150,000 would be enough as a starting point.

Thank you very much!

Ground plan of a garden with house, garage, pool, terrace, and trees.

You set the cost framework beforehand – at least roughly. 🙄
Of course, we had set a budget limit. I just wanted to get a second opinion here.

But it’s impossible to say without knowing the details of the quote. Landscaping is even more difficult than building the house. If the saving is less than 10,000 euros, then it can usually be achieved by choosing different materials or products. For larger savings, a redesign is necessary. Or, for example, you could eliminate the extra breakfast nook, unless you are retirees who plan to sit there every morning.

The question is more about how much your budget is?
I deliberately did not specify that here in order to get an unbiased assessment. But it’s in the range of 80,000 to 100,000 (without pool, carport).

I intentionally didn’t include that here to get a neutral assessment. But in the range of 80-100k (without pool, carport).
Well, asking "how much does a car for four people cost" and then showing a silhouette of an SUV isn’t really a meaningful way to answer that question.
A few years ago, we reduced the landscaping budget for a commercial project by half just by changing the plant selection, using more affordable paving, drainage channels, and lighting.

Then just wait for the offer first if you have set that as your budget.
As mentioned, material selection matters. A large deciduous tree, expensive variety, in a corten steel planter costs 5,000. A young standard tree in a flower bed edging costs 500. These are rough estimates, but we can’t know what the final result will be.

Well, this is just about getting an indication based on assumptions.

This is exactly the current approach: to evaluate each item and optimize costs (surface materials, plants, walls, etc.).
