ᐅ Is it possible to bypass a property boundary / fence line?

Hello everyone,

here is the situation..
The fencing regulations in our development specify a maximum height of 0.80m (0.8 feet) for my property (purple boundary).
However, this means that the entire side (red marking) would theoretically remain open, providing an unobstructed view into my garden.
Is there any way to have privacy screening there without having to maintain a 5.0m (16.4 feet) distance from the street?

Development Plan:
Fencing

Along public roadways, fencing is only permitted up to a maximum height of 0.80m (0.8 feet).

The same applies to the adjacent property areas up to the front building line, but no closer than 5.0m (16.4 feet) from the roadway.

Thanks in advance.

0.80 centimeters (0.3 inches) is actually not much at all... a mole could just look over it.

Hello,
we also have a corner plot, and 75cm (30 inches) is allowed in our case. As far as I know, this is intended so that you can look around the corner at the intersection to see if a car or a pedestrian is coming. If something happens there, it’s just unfortunate. Otherwise, you can have a hedge up to 2m (6.5 ft) high.

Is a hedge not considered a boundary enclosure?

In my opinion, a hedge is, similar to a fence, a type of boundary enclosure and therefore only allowed up to 80 cm (31 inches) in height. Unlike a fence, however, it can sometimes be allowed to grow taller and, if necessary or upon complaints, be trimmed back.

I do not consider a general height limit of 80 cm (31 inches) for the entire property line to be reasonable. Only the visibility triangles at intersection areas should remain clear.

That’s not a problem at all, but what happens if something occurs at the intersection?
