Hello,

I will be moving into a second apartment soon and so far have had little creativity with the interior design (furniture, etc.).

It is a studio apartment, approximately 43 square meters (460 square feet) with an open kitchen and sleeping area (see floor plan).

The current plan is to place a 1.80-meter (6-foot) bed in the sleeping area, which is about 1.95 meters (6 feet 5 inches) long, and mount a board along the entire length of the bed on the outside to serve as a bedside table (for a smartphone, etc.). Alternatively, a board above the bed could work. I do not want a traditional bedside table, as that would take up too much bed width (unlike what is shown in the landlord’s floor plan).

Grundriss einer Wohnung: Flur, Küche, Essen, Wohnen, Schlafen, Bad, Abstellraum, Loggia.

The TV stand with a TV wall would be set up along the longer side of the room, with a small L-shaped sofa in front to act as a room divider. Along the other long side of the room, up to the kitchen, the dining table, cabinet, and desk would be arranged lengthwise in the corner up to the window facing the balcony.

I don’t have more ideas yet and look forward to your feedback.

Thank you!

Why a 180 cm (71 inches) bed? Even for two people, a 140 cm (55 inches) or 160 cm (63 inches) bed would be enough for a second home. Place it against the exterior wall, and the nightstand against the interior wall.
Wardrobe? I would use a classic wardrobe to separate the area, placing it at the foot of the bed.

Are you expecting guests? Who is it for? Weekend or everyday use?

I can only agree with Yvonne, and then please either provide a drawing of your ideas or, in cases like

add whether you mean the right or left side.
