Hello everyone,
We want to upgrade our shower to a rain shower.
When searching online, you find many options, but most include the shower mixer.
However, we want an external shower riser rail.
Do you have any recommendations?
Or do you have tips on what to consider when retrofitting?
Stainless steel or brass components?
Square or round showerhead?

Not only the pressure but also the flow rate. So whether the pipe diameter is large enough. Well, you ask questions. How can you tell the flow rate?

We have the Schulte Duschmaster Rechtsanwältin II and are satisfied with it.
What do you mean by external rod? The rod from the water supply to the showerhead has no connection to the thermostat. That's more or less the point.

By the way, there is also an “advanced version” now, which sprays even more finely. At Hansgrohe, for example, it is called PowderRain. We just want to shower.

We just want showers Then I recommend GARDENA Solo. Or Duo.
Or Trio oops:
Ask your plumber what pipe diameter was installed. The flow rate has to be right; otherwise, it won’t be enjoyable.

Or Trio oops: Ok, I’ll clarify: indoor single-family house instead of a common shower

In my previous rental apartment, I retrofitted a (cheap) rain shower—it worked great, and the pipes definitely weren’t specially sized for it! In the new house, where the rain shower was planned from the start, it was initially a complete disappointment, feeling like just a slow drip. Then I removed the showerhead and took out the plastic flow restrictor (required for the fancy AAAA+++++ certification). Since then, I have the most wonderful tropical rain experience.
