Hello everyone,
We want to upgrade our shower to a rain shower.
When searching online, you find many options, but most include the shower mixer.
However, we want an external shower riser rail.
Do you have any recommendations?
Or do you have tips on what to consider when retrofitting?
Stainless steel or brass components?
Square or round showerhead?

So: ... it’s hung up!
Overall, we are satisfied.
You could probably criticize the two hoses, but everyone has at least one hose anyway. Also at the apparent adapter connection, which isn’t really one, but rather holds the telescopic rod in place.
There are no plastic plug connections. The rod and several other parts are made of coated plastic, just like our branded shower.
The only thing that’s not perfect is the connection of the diverter to the rod: there is a 1mm (0.04 inch) gap there. But oh well.
We now have a rain shower for just under 80€ (euros). The head doesn’t drip afterwards. The pressure of the hand shower cannot be adjusted, so we will upgrade that later—maybe with one of those rods with colored light.
