Hello,
we are currently planning our single-family house. We have already decided on a masonry heater. Additionally, we have a gas condensing boiler. Therefore, we need a chimney with two flues.
My question is: do you build the chimney up to the roof, or do you buy a prefabricated unit, for example from Erlus?
Thank you in advance

Usually, only a single-flue chimney is required, since the location of the masonry heater and the gas condensing boiler rarely align well. In such cases, the gas appliance gets a separate combustion air supply. However, I don’t know the existing floor plan.Olum schrieb:

Nobody builds chimneys from bricks anymore. => Prefabricated components: casing blocks and glazed flue liner plus accessories! There are plenty of suppliers for this. But, as with everything, it must be carefully planned: flue pipe connection, diameter, condensate, effective chimney height, separate combustion air supply ... just like with the masonry heater.Best regards.
Masonry heaters and radiators work very well together!

...Is it possible now with the double-flue chimney? Our heating installer told us that we need a double-flue chimney. In this case, yes. Best regards.
