Hello,
we are currently planning our single-family house. We have already decided on a masonry heater. Additionally, we have a gas condensing boiler. Therefore, we need a chimney with two flues.
My question is: do you build the chimney up to the roof, or do you buy a prefabricated unit, for example from Erlus?
Thank you in advance

Thank you for the quick reply.
If the building contractor handles it, does that include the interior of the chimney as well? Or who is responsible for that?
I’ve seen some quotes where the chimney is delivered fully assembled and installed inside the house. Is that better than a DIY system?

You really should read carefully
Answer from €uro dated 23.01.12: " => Prefabricated parts: outer chimney blocks and inner flue liner (glazed) including accessories! There are plenty of suppliers for these. However, like everything else, it must be planned carefully: flue pipe connection, diameter, condensate, effective chimney height, separate combustion air supply...."
Kind regards
