Hello everyone,
we were just asked what type of window sills we want.
Options: white aluminum or with a facing layer made of brick slips
About the house: 14 windows, white uPVC windows
What would you suggest? Pros and cons?

That’s not true. Aluminum only becomes noisy if it is not properly supported on the window reveal. If there is any small gap, it will create noise.
We have aluminum window sills, and even when I stand next to them in the rain, apart from a soft dull pattering, I don’t hear anything else.

Knallkörper4 Jul 2017 15:54I would also lean towards a rolled roofing membrane. It looks more harmonious, and I have had bad experiences with aluminum regarding rain noise. However, my absolute favorite is granite.
