Hello,
the range of staircases is very large, and we don’t like the yellow-orange colored beech staircases so much. Which staircase did you choose, and are you satisfied with it?
Best regards,
Sabine

Goldi091117 Jan 2017 18:48Is it more affordable than a purely wooden staircase? What is the difference or advantage compared to a staircase made entirely of wood?

I think the advantages are durability and mass (sound insulation). We wanted a closed staircase; a purely wooden one was neither offered to us nor did it occur to us.ypg schrieb:
We have the good steel stringer staircase. The metal is painted in dark gray, and the treads are made of beech wood, stained in a dark chocolate brown.
The staircase looks great, but every speck of dust is clearly visible on it.
RegardsCould you please share a photo of your staircase here? Did you paint the staircase yourselves?
Best regards,
Sabine
In my avatar, you can see the staircase, although the steps are still made of construction timber.
Is that enough for you, or should I upload another photo?
We painted the steel ourselves. That’s how it goes with painting work when it’s done by the builder. The paint cost around 10€ to 20€, not significant. The stain was applied by the stair builder.

Baumhaus.Bau15 Jan 2017 09:21We have a steel staircase painted in RAL 7011 (grey) with anthracite-colored Resopal treads. Since there are still temporary construction steps on it and the staircase hasn’t been painted yet, I will provide photos next month. Then you can see how something like this looks with dark treads...
