Hello everyone,
I have a question. The base of my garage absorbs water when it rains (see picture).
Is this a defect or is it normal? Can the facade be damaged as a result?
I only have this issue on the west side, where the paving is directly adjacent.
On the south side, which has a gravel strip, there is no issue. The house itself is also not affected.

The water drains away and therefore does not penetrate the wall.Probably.
The gravel/crushed stone also acts as a buffer.
If the floor slabs were laid directly against the wall without a proper base or drainage system (possibly, is the ground sloping towards the wall?), this could explain what is seen in the pictures.
Possible solution: partially remove the flooring.
Install drainage.
Properly construct a gravel base and, if necessary, a drainage channel.
Make sure the ground slopes away from the wall.
Relay the flooring.
