ᐅ Fixed glazing vs. tilt-and-turn windows

Hello everyone,
on one side of the house, two openings (windows) are planned, each measuring 1.8 x 2.35 m (6 x 7.7 ft), spaced about 3 m (10 ft) apart.
One of them needs to function as a patio door, so it will likely be a tilt-and-turn type. The other opening does not need to be operable for practical reasons, so we were initially considering a fixed glazing there. However, we were told that fixed glazing looks noticeably different from tilt-and-turn windows due to its slimmer frame. Since the two windows are relatively close together, this might cause a visual mismatch.
What do you think? Would the cost savings of fixed glazing justify this difference?

As far as I know, fixed glazing makes it difficult or impossible to clean the roller shutters from the inside!?

My parents have not cleaned their roller shutters from the inside for over 30 years, and they are not really dirty. After this amount of time, however, it might be a good idea to take them out of their tracks and clean them.

We have a patio door with a fixed half panel, totaling 3m (10 feet) in width, and next to it, a 3m (10 feet) wide fixed glazed window. The frames are slightly slimmer, but this does not have a negative impact. By the way, this is our favorite window.

How do you clean your fixed windows on the upper floor from the outside? I’m curious about that.

Maybe with the help of a device with rails for climbing up and down, which are fitted on both the left and right sides into two beams.

What kind of savings are we talking about? Around 200 €?

That’s correct!
In my old property, I had one operable sash next to a fixed one. The roller shutters inside looked unused accordingly—stiff, dirty, unattractive.
However, all the windows could still be cleaned.

Anyway. A fixed window might not be noticeably different visually, but you lose the option to create an exit there. Are you already certain that you will never want to step out or in through that spot? Do you want to make cleaning the roller shutters more difficult?

What costs are we referring to here?
