waltraudWe have a bright, white-painted open-plan kitchen with oak parquet flooring. For the kitchen, we are now considering abstract high-gloss cream cabinet fronts with a numerär dark brown countertop with a metal edge. In the catalog, the combination of the countertop and cream fronts looks quite nice, but we wonder if it would suit our bright white room.
Does cream and white look good together, or does the abstract high-gloss cream appear yellowish and unattractive?
Originally, we wanted white fronts, but we are a bit worried that it might look too clinical.
Thanks for any good advice!

IKEA-Experte24 Oct 2011 23:12The most important thing is that YOU like it. In the 1980s, almost everything was beige and brown for a few years. For many years after that, nobody wanted to see it anymore. Now it’s slowly coming back. White kitchen fronts have always been around, and in my opinion, you don’t get tired of them so easily. You don’t have to choose white for everything, and you can add variety by using individual fronts in a different color.

we bought the ABSTRAKT cream-colored units with an oak countertop. The walls are white, and the floor is dark laminate (Fruit and Wine). We can only say it looks really cool.
