We have received a quote for a new build and there are three different systems to choose from.

Which of these systems would you particularly recommend, or which ones would you avoid in terms of efficiency, susceptibility to issues, or noise levels?

1. Vitovent 300
2. Stiebel Eltron LWZ 304 Flex
3. Vallox ventilation system

What would you recommend from the options offered?

My gut feeling would rank them as follows:

1. Vallox
2. Vitovent
3. Stiebel Eltron

Thank you

Regards

Vallox and Vitovent are ventilation systems.

Stiebel Eltron is a heat pump combined with a ventilation system.

Therefore, a direct comparison is not really possible. Are you being offered the Vallox and Vitovent with humidity recovery?

The Vitovent 300 and the system from Vallox are offered without moisture recovery.

Can you still compare the ventilation system from Stiebel Eltron to these? Basically, they do the same thing.

So, without moisture recovery, it’s definitely not as good.

Well, you really can’t compare them directly. It’s like choosing between a motorcycle and a car.

The Stiebel Eltron system can not only provide ventilation but also heat the entire house and supply hot water. The others simply can’t do that. The price and installation costs are also completely different.

The other suppliers have also offered air-to-water heat pumps.

Specifically, the following have been offered:

1. Viessmann Vitocal 200-S with Vitovent 300
2. Stiebel Eltron LWZ 304 Flex
3. Buderus Logatherm WLW 196i IR and Vallox ventilation system

This is, of course, a different starting point now.
