Hello,

Today, the floor installer was at our place and brought samples from Joka. He had samples from the Deluxe series. The price per square meter is between 95 and 70 Euro (approximately 9.5 and 7.0 USD). Recently, I also looked at an Admonter floor, which was great, but it seemed less durable to me.

What type of parquet flooring do you have or recommend? Price up to 120 Euro per square meter (approximately 12 USD).

Regards,
Matthias

In the end, it depends on how well it was installed and sealed.

I agree completely. That’s why we’re choosing a hardwood floor that the installer is familiar with and works with frequently.

I had the same experience and still ended up with a nasty setback.
Anyway, we don’t want that crew to enter the house again and keep messing things up. They’re not aware of any fault. So we’re letting the whole thing rest and waiting until the little one is older and things like toy cars won’t be flying around or sand scattered everywhere. Then it will be sanded down and properly sealed by another company. We have enough material with a single layer of 8mm (0.3 inches) solid wood.

That's a shame if you've dealt with amateurs. The little one will thank you for your calmness. There's something valuable in that, too.

Why? Either we get upset every day or stay calm.
In the hallway, it is fading and prone to scratches because the finish was not applied or sanded properly throughout the house. Individual wood pieces are splintered, and so on. On the other hand, now I can repair the floors with wax.

Why seal? Why not oil?
