we are planning our house with an air source heat pump. If I understand correctly, the additional electricity consumption depends on the outside temperature, right? Still, there are differences between pumps regarding the temperature at which they start using electricity to provide auxiliary heating. I hope I’m on the right track so far.
We are planning a 120 m² (1,292 sq ft) house with a Vaillant Arotherm vwl 85/3 air source heat pump.
How can I find out if the air source heat pump is properly sized and won’t start using electricity for heating already at -4°C (25°F)?
If you need any more details, please let me know.
Best regards
