Good evening,

we are about to start construction soon. However, we are still deciding where to place the ceiling light outlets in the living room and hallway. The ceiling will be delivered as a precast concrete panel.

Do you have any suggestions?

Best regards, Florian

Does the layout shown match your design plan?

No, the living and dining areas are mirrored.

Well, then provide a floor plan that reflects the planned furnishings... how else are lighting suggestions supposed to be made?

How about placing one light fixture centered over the dining table, one centered over the seating area, and one centered in the hallway? Without knowing your personal style, the floor plan, or room dimensions, there’s not much more that can be suggested. I have no idea if you want accent lighting with spotlights, an additional small reading light over the sofa, or something else entirely.

If it doesn’t fit perfectly, you can still adjust by choosing a different lamp shape (for example, elongated instead of round) or by using a cable across the ceiling to help conceal it.

A small tip: If you want to use a floor lamp or uplighter, plan for a switched socket outlet...
