JaiBee07Hello,
I hope it’s okay to post this kind of request here. I am urgently looking for a heating and sanitation installer (HZB) in the greater Berlin area who is willing to carry out the project with me this year.
After a long search and many calls, I found someone, but they only install Weishaupt and Vaillant systems.
Looking at the BAFA list for heat pumps, the smaller systems from these manufacturers are not modulating.
For me, that is a dealbreaker for a heat pump nowadays. Do you agree?
How did you find the right HZB installers for the appropriate systems? Most installers don’t list the manufacturers they work with online, only partners at best. Did you just call around or contact the system manufacturers directly?
I would really appreciate any tips for HZB installers in my region who install Nibe, Gaisha, or similar.
And what is your opinion on the heat pump manufacturer Broetje? I find their systems quite appealing.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturers directly? They often list service partners on their websites.
Another approach: find a plumber who will handle the hydraulics up to just before the heat pump. You can tighten the two nuts on the Geisha yourself. It’s still occasionally available AND so affordable that you don’t really need a warranty. There is plenty of support available for the Panas as well.

I almost switched to the Panasonic (Jeisha) heat pump at times because my Vaillant was not available for a very long time. But on one hand, the Unitower was already installed, and I wouldn’t have been able to resell it without a loss. On the other hand, I relied on combined subsidies for the heat pump together with a controlled mechanical ventilation system.
However, I suspect that using Panasonic with a controlled mechanical ventilation system installed by an electrician might be more cost-effective than the BAFA subsidy, even when it covers controlled ventilation and approved devices. Allegedly, there is a way to connect manufacturer-different heat pumps and controlled mechanical ventilation systems via a timer so that they operate as a single system, which would allow the ventilation system to qualify for the BAFA subsidy as well.
You might want to ask Steffen GmbH from Kaulsdorf. They were willing to install the Panasonic for me if necessary. I don’t know if that was just because of the difficult situation and that I was already their customer, or if they generally offer that service.
I also don’t have any concrete information about their capacity for new projects this year. In my case, it worked out because everything was carefully planned in advance and my construction site is close to them, so they could occasionally send someone on short notice if a slot opened up.
