I had underfloor heating installed later in the screed on the upper floor, which has a controller up there (or whatever that thing is called where the pipes are connected in a row and there is another row on top with extra indicators).
What do I need to do to turn on the underfloor heating on the upper floor? The indicator tubes are set all the way at the top, showing zero flow.

Could someone possibly help from a distance? Thanks in advance!

So the actuators are missing here. Or the heating installer planned it this way and only performed the hydraulic balancing using the valves.

Could you please take pictures of the entire distribution system? The return and supply are both connected to the radiators—that’s the blue and red pipes at the valve, which looks like a T.

Now check the riser pipe for additional valves.

Has it been operated once already?

Do you see a pressure relief valve anywhere in the basement?

Yes, right at the very beginning, after the installation 3 years ago.

Attached are photos from the utility room where everything is installed. I see that one riser pipe (red) is shut off. This can be seen at the very top in the second photo. I will try opening the valve and then see what happens.

Turn on valve 1 first, then valve 2.

Stay nearby and check for any leaks.

Thanks! I will try that this afternoon after work.
