Hello everyone

I came across an interesting house that includes an old tennis court and is very affordable. According to the documents, the tennis court appears to be concrete. We would prefer to have a garden there instead. I tried to estimate the size of the court; it’s probably around 450m2 (4,843 sq ft). Can anyone estimate the costs involved in removing it and filling the area with soil? Is it feasible to do this yourself using a rented excavator, or is it better to hire professionals?

Thanks in advance

It looks more like asphalt.
I would also suggest filling it up. Put the pool on top and have a deck around it...
A partition (small wall) and soil will be cheaper than demolition.

If the tennis court is already that worn out...

This is what a worn-out tennis court looks like.
Maybe it was just covered with grass.. 😉

Green chain-link fence in the foreground, open field, houses with red roofs in the background.

Exactly, enough options besides expensive dismantling.

Yes, THAT is truly a worn-out site 😉. "Ours" isn’t perfect either, but at least still recognizable.

But even on that, children can play soccer, dogs can be trained, a pool can be installed, and countless other things. If the house really fits, it won’t be a problem to use it sensibly and affordably. I’m already curious to see how the viewing goes.

I will let you know once we have taken a look at it. Keep your fingers crossed that it’s something worthwhile.
