Hello,

I was just in the bathroom and wondered why the toilet wouldn’t flush. Then I opened the cistern and found that a connecting pipe was broken. I turned off the water supply for now because water is flowing through there quite heavily, to prevent further damage.

What can be done in this situation? Is it possible to fix it somehow, or what exactly is needed? Otherwise, no one can use the toilet and the water supply has to be turned on and off manually each time. Both pipe parts can be removed, but what do I need then?

My suggestion is not to leave it as is but to repair it!

I just wanted to share that the issue has been resolved, as a new cistern has just been installed. I chose a new cistern because it will last longer and all the wear parts are new.

Of course, it would have been enough to just replace the fill valve, but a new cistern doesn’t cost much and offers more benefits.
