Hello,
we are planning to build and are strongly leaning towards a Swedish-style house. Depending on the supplier, we really like the different concepts. A short construction time is also an important factor for us.
Question: What are your experiences with Swedish-style houses?
And: Maybe someone can recommend a supplier based on the idea: "I would build with them again."

Thanks for your answers

SH. We can do everything except standard High German.

Seriously. What makes Swedish houses from Sweden special is the wood. The softwood is much harder here because it grows much more slowly, due to the long winters and short summers.

I’m already in discussions, but construction times (from planning to moving in) of 10–16 months... where is the advantage of a prefabricated house?

It probably won’t be faster with others either. They’re not just sitting around waiting for your order. Current capacity is likely very high, which leads to waiting times.
And even a prefabricated house needs to be built... in the assembly hall and then transported to the construction site. The construction time appears shorter on-site because much of the work was already done in the assembly hall.

Delivery times are the same no matter who you build with.

You are building during a boom period. Waiting times are normal, and prices are high.
I don’t think the Swedes are significantly cheaper overall.

There is currently a documentary about Eksjöhus houses airing on N24.

I built an Eksjöhus with GfG Sweden Houses and am very satisfied. By the way, the gutter and downpipe are made of metal. I hadn’t considered that, but it was included in the price (lucky, as I wouldn’t have wanted PVC). The construction phase went smoothly.
