Hello everyone,
do you have any experience with the approximate additional cost per RC2 window and front door?

Best regards

RC classes only define the time a window or door must withstand a certain tool. How the manufacturer achieves this is their business. For our windows, RC2 does not include lockable handles.

What is important is that you receive a proper certificate stating the type of your window or front door and the resistance class. Some manufacturers have their own resistance classes that are similar to RC2, but you have to take their word for it.

I consider €75 quite low for RC2. For doors, RC2 costs between €300 and €600, depending on whether there is glass or not.

Currently, there are KfW subsidies available for RC2. You usually receive almost as much as the price difference.
To my knowledge, this subsidy only applies to renovations, not new builds.

Definitely not for front doors. We received approval from KFW last week.

Then show the section on the KfW homepage.

The grant is 455-E. It is actually described a bit oddly, since it mentions "existing buildings." However, there is no further reference to this in the conditions. As mentioned, we received the approval about a week ago.

However, this is no longer mentioned in the terms.

Actually, this is stated clearly throughout the terms, for example it is explicitly mentioned in the information sheet.

Thank you for pointing that out to me. Then I guess I have to withdraw my commitment.
