Hello everyone,
do you have any experience with the approximate additional cost per RC2 window and front door?

Best regards

If the security shutter costs around €3,500 and I could receive an additional €1,600 through KFW 455-E (or other programs), that would be great!

It pays off in the sense that hopefully, burglars are scared off before they take anything. And I might save €1,600, so I’m asking what happened with hyaden’s application.

For me, it’s actually less about RC2 now and more about window contact and glass break sensors. Eimsig sounds very interesting but also expensive, and so far I have found few reviews that focus on the sensors and possibly the Eimsig smart home system.

Hello,

yes, we received a subsidy from the KfW.

We paid a total of 3.9k EUR for the door from Hoco, RC2 was about 300 EUR gross (approximately 320 USD) – so it was definitely worth it.

However, I cannot say whether glass break sensors, etc. are eligible for funding; the condition for the subsidy at the time was RC2 on the invoice.

Thank you, hyaden!
New build, KfW 455-E?
Then we will at least try our luck with an RC2-rated door as well.

Yes, new build. I checked the payment confirmation again; 499.15 was paid out. The product is called 455 for me only (Age-appropriate Renovation - Grant (455)).
