Today I received an offer for the structural engineering planning for my construction project of a 130m² (1,400 sq ft) single-family house without a basement, with a shed roof, 1.5 stories, detached.

Unfortunately, I am unable to assess the offer and would appreciate expert advice. These are rounded net prices:

Service phase 1 – Basic evaluation €300
Service phase 2 – Preliminary design €1,000
Service phase 3 – Design planning €1,500
Service phase 4 – Building permit / planning permission €3,000
Service phase 5 – Detailed design €4,000
Service phase 6 – Preparation for tendering €200
Total net cost €10,000.

Thank you in advance.

I am not familiar with the federal state. However, the HOAI applies everywhere. I just ran it through my software. Conclusion: Very fair!!! There is nothing more to add here.

That sounds promising. Thank you.
The construction will take place in Baden-Württemberg.

Phase 6 does not fit within the budget range of the other phases. Has it been significantly scaled down?

I agree.
According to the HOAI fee structure, it’s usually about double, but $10,000 is more than enough to make a profit.
You can also find someone who will do it for half that, if you want.

Yes, it’s about 1–2 hours of work.
