Hello, we recently bought an older house (built around 1900).

What we didn’t notice before is that the house slopes significantly from the second half onwards. The walls and floors are visibly uneven. We have solid wooden ceiling beams, and the entire house has about 150 m² (1,615 sq ft) of living space.

Since I’m a bit concerned about the structural stability, I would like to hire a structural engineer to take a look. The question is, what would this roughly cost? There is a fee schedule, but unfortunately, I can’t really make sense of it.

Thank you very much for your help.

Just ask a structural engineer.
Typically, their hourly rates are around 80 to 100 euros. Travel time is usually counted as working time or half of it.
I believe if they only need to assess it, you’re probably looking at a few hundred euros.
