Hello everyone,

Do you have any experience with shower toilets, such as the AquaClean from Geberit or the Sensia from Grohe? Does one have advantages over the other, and if so, what are they?

Thanks for your feedback!

I’m also interested in this. My husband has concerns about the durability of the electronics and, especially, about the hygiene and cleaning of the cleaning nozzle. I would appreciate hearing from people who use this toilet daily!

Women and children no longer want any other throne in the house. For warm water, hairdryer, and extraction, in addition to the regular water connection, electricity is also required.
These devices are sometimes also installed in certain care homes.

Geberit produces good bathroom technology, such as the concealed cisterns, but the ceramics of the AquaClean 8000 Plus are not quite as easy to maintain as, for example, the Ceramicplus from Villeroy & Boch.
It is best not to sit on the lid (for example, when brushing teeth). It seems to be a rather brittle duroplast. Otherwise, keep about €150 ready for a new lid.
I cannot say anything about the electronics yet.

Otherwise, depending on the number of flushes, add nozzle cleaner approximately every 6 months and possibly replace the activated carbon filter occasionally.

How does the nozzle clean itself after use? Do you have to clean it with a cleaner after every use?

No.

Before and after use, the shower arm extends about 0.5 cm (0.2 inches) and the rinse nozzle activates.
Due to the narrow cross-section and higher flow velocity, combined with the addition of nozzle cleaner, it cleans itself automatically.

Thank you very much for the information
