Reyemedlo28 Nov 2018 07:34Hello everyone,
We are planning to install a recessed doormat just outside the front door. It will be placed under a 1.25-meter (4 feet) deep canopy and on a block step. Does it necessarily have to be connected to the drainage system, or would a stainless steel tray underneath that is cleaned regularly be sufficient?
I would appreciate any tips and experiences...

The drain is not connected—where should large amounts of water come from when there is a roof above? Sand and dirt need to be vacuumed out once or twice a year, and that’s it.

We have nothing connected. Never had any problems!
