Hello, I bought a new oven.
Can you connect these yourself, or is it too dangerous for someone without experience and better left to an electrician?
Maybe someone has a tip for me.

to be honest: if you have never done something like this before, and as you yourself say: "inexperienced," I would really advise you to have a professional handle it! it is truly dangerous!

best regards,
Mara 😉

Hello,

You can connect an oven yourself, but you should have some knowledge about it. In your case, I would recommend having a professional connect the oven. Better safe than sorry 🙂

I would like to point out once again that most accidents happen in one’s own apartment or house. This often occurs precisely because people do things like connecting a stove without really knowing what they are doing. In cases like this, it is definitely worth spending the money to hire a professional.

Best regards,
yung 😉

Hello yung,

You are not wrong when you say that most accidents happen at home, in one’s own apartment. However, I also pointed out that if she is not able to do it, she should hire a professional to connect the oven.

Hello!

I strongly recommend that you consult a professional. Working with three-phase power is not without risks (I assume you mean three-phase—400V?). A professional has the necessary experience and proper measuring tools (such as a voltage tester).

Especially when using three-phase power, it is important to have a three-pole circuit breaker. If you don’t have one and something goes wrong—say only one or two breakers trip—your stove or oven could be damaged.

So, definitely get a professional involved ;-)

Best regards

Nico
