Hello everyone,

which type of room thermostat would you recommend for underfloor heating, and what are your views on the advantages and disadvantages as well as cost-benefit? The analog ones with a rotary dial or rather the stylish ones with a display and possibly programmable memory...

None at all,

that really saves on purchase and operating costs. And if you absolutely want to have some, go for the cheapest ones, so at least you only waste a few euros throwing money out the window.

Are all rooms evenly and consistently heated?

In a modern new build with low-temperature underfloor heating, you simply cannot achieve large temperature differences due to the system itself. A 2-3 degree difference between rooms is the reality.

Therefore, room temperature regulators (RTRs) serve more as decoration rather than having a real function.

Of course, this assumes that you plan to live in the house and sleep there daily. If you are absent for months at a time, the situation is quite different.
