Hello everyone,
we currently have the problem that our construction company is complaining that the plumbing company did not install a waterproofing tape on the bathtub, which is already permanently installed. The plumbing company says they have never done this before, do not consider it their responsibility, and refer us to the tiler. Now the URGENT question for us is: which trade is responsible or must carry out this work?

Many thanks in advance!

The trade responsible is the one that installs the bathtub, since the waterproofing tape is applied to the bathtub edge that adjoins the walls. Therefore, installing this tape before or after setting the bathtub is not feasible.

Plumbing Company!?!

Unfortunately, I keep experiencing that it is not done! But it must be....

I wouldn’t answer that in general terms.....what does the bill of quantities (BOQ) say!

LV? The actual offer from the plumbing company does not include anything related...

Why wouldn’t you want to answer the whole thing in a general way?

The leveling strip was installed by the plumbing company that also installed the bathtub.
