Hello everyone,
the following conditions apply:
Gas condensing boiler Viessmann Vitodens 200 with a 300-liter (79-gallon) hot water tank plus solar system for domestic hot water.
Heating is underfloor with individual room control.

How can I best adjust the settings to save energy? Currently, I have it set as follows:

Domestic hot water on during the day from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM at 45°C (113°F), otherwise off.
Heating: rooms set 3°C (5.4°F) cooler at night via room thermostats, and the boiler supply temperature reduced by 2°C (3.6°F).

Is this setting sensible if someone is always at home during the day?

Regards

Are there fixed times during the day when hot water is typically used? If so, you could limit it accordingly.

For example, because of the children, we have set times so that no hot water is produced after the last bath in the evening. This has already saved some gas.

By the way, we have exactly the same heating system :-)
