Hello,

just asking around how one can – I hope I’m describing this correctly – close the gap between the wooden boards on the underside of the roof box? So where the boards are interlocked, from the front view it looks like a dark gap, which is clearly visible especially when painted white.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Oh God, great sentence! A photo would have made it easier. But I think I know what you mean. Usually, the boards are painted BEFORE installation, so this effect doesn’t occur, or you will have to keep doing touch-ups.

Just use acrylic...

Unfortunately, I don’t have a front photo available.

This could only serve for the following:

Basically looking from the right side (front of the house) at the lengthwise grooves; the overlap is what’s meant. The boards were primed in white as the first coat or were already supplied with this coating. The final coat was the owner’s responsibility.

The screw holes are already covered with acrylic. If this coating also extends along the length of the gap, that should be acceptable.

White cladding of the gutter with downpipe on the house wall, looking upwards.

Whatever might be there has so far escaped my meticulous scrutiny – from which I dare to conclude that it might not be so serious (?)

I don't see anything either.
