Hello,

unfortunately, we did not order this directly, so the electrical outlets in the children's rooms are standard sockets without additional protection. Before I apply these plastic covers, I wanted to check if it is possible to replace the socket insert instead?

I’m uncertain because I just read that it is not allowed to upgrade a standard socket to one with enhanced touch protection. Apparently, the "socket dimensions" must not be altered...?

I wouldn’t do this only in the children’s room but everywhere.

We have had them everywhere for 4.5 years and they are holding up well.

Several stacks of white socket protectors; next to them a single plastic cover.

I've already noted it in the handy booklet on the page for the electrician appointment. In this case, the additional cost for the entire house is really negligible.

It is negligible, and it is quiet.
We had to follow up on it. This is not standard.

We have also installed the Merten switches with built-in touch protection in the house. We are very satisfied. The retrofit options with rotary switches are really annoying, and I definitely did not want that.

Until just now, I didn’t even know something like that existed. For me, child safety always meant those twist locks.
