Hello everyone,

we bought new garden chairs (MWH Futosa garden reclining armchair (62 cm (24 inches), anthracite/silver)), which unfortunately were blown onto the terrace stones during strong wind and now have some unpleasant scratches (actually, it looks more like the surface has been rubbed off in some spots). Do you have any ideas on how to restore them?

Use an iron and gently move it over, preferably covered with baking paper.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve never heard of that before. But if it works, all the better.

Dashboard care products for cars can help with minor scratches. For deeper scratches, you will probably have to accept them. I assume the armrests are made of PVC and not a thermoplastic. Applying heat only helps with polypropylene or polyethylene – check if you can find a PP, PE, or PVC symbol on the plastic parts.

The symbol PP is located under the armrests.

Sometimes a permanent marker can help 😉
