We are currently planning our house and garage.
The garage will be a prefabricated garage from Kemmler.
I came across Kemmler’s rainwater storage solution for the garage by chance on their website. Sounds good, but unfortunately too expensive (2,000).
I like the idea because an outdoor rain barrel is unattractive, not frost-resistant, and we don’t have a water connection in the garage.
I’m considering routing the garage’s rainwater downspout through the garage and installing a rainwater tank myself.
Does anyone have experience with this or any suggestions?

I just did a quick search on Google. The first result says that a 500-liter (135-gallon) tank costs only about 40 €. So where are the remaining more than 1900 € going to be spent? There will probably be a connection to the sewer system anyway, so no additional costs there, and running just a wastewater pipe into the garage shouldn’t be that expensive. Or is it? Considering that I recently buried a 4000-liter (1057-gallon) underground tank myself and had to install new pipes, drainage channels, etc., this whole thing cost significantly less than what is being charged here. However, I did all the work myself. Still, as I said, this seems a bit pricey to me.

But a well isn’t possible everywhere. That’s true. However, you can check whether it’s allowed to build a well.
In a hot summer, depending on its depth, the well might not be very useful because it can run dry or be only minimally usable.
I am quoting from the information provided by the Enz district:

Drilling a Well
Extracting and using groundwater requires – in addition to notification – a so-called water law permit. Only in exceptional cases is usage permit-free. For example, this applies when groundwater is extracted in only small amounts to water a private home garden. Using the water for other purposes (e.g., for a swimming pool or irrigating agricultural land) and extracting water beyond a minor amount clearly requires a water law permit.
