Peter397925 Apr 2012 20:17Good evening, we bought a 10-year-old prefabricated house last year, and after the first winter, we noticed that the insulation of the house is not very effective.
First of all, air is coming through the electrical outlets. It cools down very quickly, and the floor near the exterior walls is quite cold up to about 1 meter (3 feet) into the room. I also noticed that during the freezing weeks, the ground outside by the house does not freeze.
How should I proceed to fix these issues and find out what exactly is wrong? I should mention that it is a prefabricated timber-framed house from Poland.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
