Hello!
Can anyone recommend a quality, reasonably priced prefabricated house company?
I am currently interested in the company BMH (Bau mein Haus).
Has anyone had experience with this company and can possibly share price information?
Regards and thank you

Hello and thanks in advance for the answers!
We are also considering Fingerhaus, but I think their prices are quite high, aren’t they?
Why a prefabricated house… that’s really a good question. I honestly have no experience with solid/concrete houses. A friend of mine, who is an architect, told me that prefabricated houses are hardly inferior to solid houses in terms of quality. Overall, I feel it’s easier to plan a prefabricated house than a solid-built house.
I don’t have much more to add on this.
Bau mein Haus just left a very good impression during our conversation. I hope someone else knows this company and has information for me. We have a meeting with them at the end of this week.
Best regards =)

Meaningful price comparisons are only possible when you request the same house from two different providers, meaning an offer based on precise and identical specifications in both cases regarding floor plan, cross-section, roof type, energy efficiency level (KfW standard), basement, windows, shading (roller shutters, etc.), level of finishing, heating system, ventilation system, bathroom fittings, electrical installations, and so on, and then check the two quotes for any remaining differences.
I have a really basic question, but I just can’t find any clear information on it (and I’m not very good with internet research).
Regarding the loan...
We currently live in an apartment, so paying off a loan and rent at the same time isn’t possible.
If I get a loan, do I start repaying it immediately? Or is it possible to set a specific date to begin repayment?
The issue is that in the first few months when you don’t yet live in the house, you may already have bills to pay. Paying both at the same time simply isn’t feasible.
Thanks in advance.

Repayment only begins once the loan has been fully disbursed. In many cases, it is also possible to agree on a pause of 1, 2, or 3 months before the repayment starts.

That’s all I can say about it. Me neither

Best regards =)Often your gut feeling decides. That’s good, since you will live in the house. It’s best to keep an open mind about both options and compare offers. Also, this forum has an incredible number of tips and opinions about these two types of construction.

What I see here is that the planning phase for solid construction houses seems to be much shorter than for prefabricated houses, because you can still make many decisions during the construction phase. On the other hand, the time from groundbreaking to completion is shorter for prefabricated houses.
