Hello!

Can anyone recommend a quality, reasonably priced prefabricated house company?

I am currently interested in the company BMH (Bau mein Haus).

Has anyone had experience with this company and can possibly share price information?

Regards and thank you

Why choose a prefabricated house? Are you thinking it will be cheaper?

Why is this almost always the first question when someone wants to build a prefabricated house?
Why isn’t the equivalent question asked of those interested in a traditional brick-and-mortar house?

Because most first-time builders do not associate the term prefabricated houses with the method of construction, but rather with a simple, fast, and inexpensive product.

The question from @Bauabenteurer is therefore justified, to explore the reasoning behind the question from @Somi1. With a first post in a forum, it is safe to assume that the person asking is not familiar with the differences. In such cases, it is perfectly fine to ask for clarification to avoid misunderstandings. This makes it easier for both the person asking and those responding...

As an initial reference, the results from home builder surveys conducted by the magazines "Hausbau" and "Pro Fertighaus" could be helpful.
The highest ratings were given by the home builders for the following companies:
Hausbau (Maximum 5 points)
4.9 Keitel-Haus
4.9 Baufritz
4.8 Fingerhaus
4.8 DaVinci

Pro Fertighaus (School grades)
1.3 Fingerhaus
1.3 Keitel-Haus
1.4 Schwörerhaus
1.4 Rensch-Haus
1.4 Full-Wood
1.4 Stommel Haus

Keitel-Haus is a smaller company that builds each house individually and does not charge any additional fees for this.
With Fingerhaus, Schwörerhaus, and Rensch-Haus, you can save money by opting for standard catalog designs regarding the house dimensions (width, length, stairwell shape, roof pitch). Interior walls and knee wall height can, as always, be freely planned.
Baufritz is reportedly relatively expensive.

Because most people choose a prefabricated house assuming it will be faster and cheaper than traditional or solid construction (thanks Yvonne ). And nowadays, you can no longer expect that. A prefabricated house can—depending on the provider—be more expensive than a solid build and have longer construction times. In my opinion, it’s better to look for a "reliable provider" rather than focus on whether it’s a prefabricated house or a solid house!
