ᐅ Concern: Thin exterior wall—how many centimeters are sufficient?

MarallDear forum members,
After several sleepless nights, I would now like to post my question here and sincerely hope for your feedback.
We are currently building our house, and the shell is already completed. However, I am concerned about our thin exterior walls:
Due to the small plot size, we chose KLB blocks with a thickness of 17.5 cm (7 inches). Both the structural engineer and the planner (my brother-in-law) consider 17.5 cm to be completely sufficient.
There will be 16 cm (6 inches) of insulation added, but it still seems quite thin to me.
... but now it’s already too late. Still, it doesn’t give me peace of mind.
Also, the chases in the guest bathroom have caused a breakthrough in the wall. Unfortunately, the load-bearing interior wall on the ground floor was also built with 17.5 cm (7 inches) thickness by the construction company, based on the structural calculation using that thickness.
Do you think a 17.5 cm thickness is adequate for exterior walls? It really looks thin.
Otherwise, our house will be very high quality with geothermal heating, ventilation system, etc. I just hope the thin shell won’t cause any issues.
Many thanks in advance
Marall

I don’t know much about KLB blocks, but if it gets any thicker, you’ll end up with window recesses so deep that once you add insulation and plaster or brick cladding, it might look like a gun port.
But to reassure you, we also have 17.5cm (7 inches) walls except in the basement, where they are thicker.
