ᐅ Paying for Private Cable Network Expansion?

Hello,

I was planning to have a cable connection installed instead of a telecom connection.
In our case, the street ends at the beginning of our property and still needs to be extended.

Telecom charges a flat fee of €800 for the house connection, regardless of how many meters of cable need to be laid under the street.
Unity Media says their flat fee includes only 10 meters on public and private land. Every additional meter costs €100.
When I asked if the neighbors who come after me would benefit because the network expansion would then be further along, the answer was yes. So I would basically be paying for the network expansion for the neighbor just because my connection is first.

The city shows no intention of covering the network expansion cost or distributing it among property owners based on the size of their plots.

At the moment, I see it as just bad luck for me and feel like I have to bite the bullet, or otherwise, I will have to settle for the slower telecom connection.

Do you see it this way too, or does anyone have an idea how I might get any party involved to agree on a fair redistribution?

Thank you.

If APN is internal, then this is probably the price now. Karsten

Well, it has to be inside, right?

And is excavation always done as self-labor?

You know, you don’t have to place it inside. You can request it to be outside, so you have the mailbox on the exterior wall, like in the past. They usually want an empty conduit. The general contractor installed one for me at the house connections. He agreed to do it that way. Karsten

And what does that mean in reverse?
What did you pay?
And how does your box get inside?

Inside had to be installed by myself. Had to drill through somewhere. You used to have to do that anyway. I have fiber to the home. That is mandatory on the inside. So I pay for it. Karsten
