ᐅ Maximum power capacity for kitchen appliances?

Good day!
This isn’t directly about house construction, but since many electrical experts read this forum: What would be a reasonable upper limit for an occasionally used appliance in the kitchen? A kettle typically has about 2 kW, and I believe that’s close to the maximum because it already draws nearly 9 A. Standard household outlets are rated for a continuous load of 10 A, as far as I know. If I were to connect a crepe maker with 3 kW, it would draw around 13 A, possibly for half an hour. That’s too much, right? So when choosing a crepe maker, it’s best to go for one with a power rating around 2 kW, isn’t it?

Nowadays, the mentioned ovens are almost always connected via Schuko plugs.

Yes, I was talking about the first one. It can only operate on single-phase power, so it takes much longer. I know this because the Ioniq of the lady I love shares the garage and the wallbox with my Model 3.

Basically, we are talking about Schuko sockets here. So what does that have to do with wallboxes and three-phase charging of electric cars?

It might be able to, but 32A single-phase causes a phase unbalance well beyond standard limits (not allowed by grid operators) – or am I wrong?

Yes, but @Pianist claimed that many vehicles, like the Ioniq, can no longer charge single-phase at 16A today.
And that is incorrect.

I think he just isn’t fully clear on the matter.

I just double-checked. That’s correct, it charges only single-phase. However, it can handle up to 32A. Regarding load imbalance. Anyway, 16A single-phase is fixed. There are even aftermarket ICCBs that draw 16A from the Schuko socket.
