powerbook117 Feb 2015 03:27Hello everyone,
I’m interested in this new floor from Meister called "Lindura" – unfortunately, there are almost no user reviews available (I’ve only found information from dealers and the manufacturer).
Maybe someone here has installed this floor at home and can share how satisfied they are with it.
I’m having trouble figuring out the floor’s qualities. It looks nice visually, but it’s not really traditional hardwood flooring, is it?
Does Lindura offer a genuine wood floor, or is it more like luxury laminate?
I would also say the price falls somewhere between the two.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Florian

Hello powerbook,
We’ve had a discussion about this before. But I don’t think anyone has moved in yet who plans to install this flooring. So, there probably aren’t any practical experience reports available yet...

Edit: As far as I understand, this is a wood-based floor that is somewhat similar to WPC. (WPC is available as decking boards and is a composite of wood and plastic)

powerbook117 Feb 2015 18:39Hello,
the flooring has actually been on the market for over a year now, hasn’t it? I’m surprised no one has installed it yet – or maybe that’s not necessarily a good sign if the flooring hasn’t been attractive to anyone here in terms of value for money.
What do you think?

Here is my perspective:
Lindura is in a price range where you can already get real hardwood flooring at stores like OBI and others, although not in the attractive long plank format.
I find Lindura very interesting due to its strong impact resistance, especially because I want to have the same floor in the open kitchen and the adjacent living/dining area.
At the specialist dealer, I was convinced by both the appearance and the feel. I have now ordered a sample and will compare it with classic master parquet regarding moisture resistance and impact sensitivity. Once my test is complete, I will be happy to share the information.
Best regards,
Ingo

Scheunenumbau24 Jan 2016 16:49We installed the Lindura flooring and have been living in the house for almost three months now (total area approximately 150 sqm (1,615 sq ft)). We experienced major issues during the installation of the floor:
In the hallway, which is about 1.20 m (4 feet) wide, it became apparent that the flooring had a material defect because it did not lie flat on the level subfloor (dry screed). The boards cupped severely, causing the hallway floor to form distinct waves. (We installed the floor as a floating floor, technically done correctly.)
The contractor then delivered another batch of Lindura. However, this appeared to be from the same batch as the first one (at least it had the same date). Consequently, this flooring was also defective, resulting in unnecessary time loss – quite frustrating.
Only the third delivery, which consisted of boards in a slightly wider and longer format than the originally chosen flooring, could be installed properly.
Due to the significant delays with the flooring, we also had to reschedule other trades such as the kitchen and doors multiple times, which ultimately meant that the planned move-in date could no longer be met.
Overall, the floor still looks nice, but I cannot fully recommend it without reservations...

I would like to refer to some very insightful experiences with this flooring: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/lindura-Boden-von-Meister-Erfahrungen.13731/
