Hello everyone,
I find it a bit surprising that there isn’t a dedicated subforum for the topic of “lighting” here. But maybe that’s just me, since I grew up in basements and apartments with deep eaves, so I tend to have a strong preference for bright light. I even turn on the lights during normal daylight simply because it’s brighter.
Now to the main topic: How do you approach lighting design? Is it integrated into the overall plan, handled by the architect, or do you have a specialized lighting designer? I’m less interested in smart home integration and more curious about the type of light source chosen, its placement, and whether those decisions were made for aesthetic reasons or practical purposes.
Best regards,
Flo

Task lighting where it is needed. Ambient lighting where it is needed. Mood lighting where it is needed. Accent lighting where it is appropriate or where I consider it necessary.
