Hello,
I am currently trying to solve a problem in our guest bathroom. Contrary to the original plan, the light connection for the toilet was installed on the wall instead of the ceiling, directly above the washbasin. A mirror is supposed to be installed there.
The bathroom is very small, only 2 sqm (22 sq ft).
Do you have any solutions for this issue? Would lighting from a mirror with built-in illumination be sufficient? Do you have any experience with that?
I have attached a picture of the bathroom. Unfortunately, the light connection is not visible. You can roughly see where the light comes from. At the moment, there is a bare bulb holder installed.

My phone's screen light on the toilet is enough for me... Me too, but I don't want any of our guests to literally end up peeing themselves in the dark.

Reading this thread unsuspectingly, you get a bit of a shock when it hits you that there are actually two light outlets in the guest bathroom (ceiling, wall). And then you start wondering what to do with both outlets in such a small room?!
@Müllerin, how is your unused ceiling cable stored? Is it just hanging there, or cut back very short? @Andre77 Well, we now have a hanging ceiling lamp plus a spotlight above the mirror. My husband really wanted both lights to be functional... I think it’s a bit silly and usually keep the lights off — it’s bright enough during the day, and in the evening we just use decorative string lights.
Also, we’ve had a street lamp for 3 days now that doesn’t shine into the house but provides enough outdoor light to make the bathroom bright enough too.

In case of need, there are these small white caps (this is probably not the technical term)Spring cover.
Better than those white bumps on the ceiling.
Or, if the connection is only planned as a reserve, put a plaster cover on it and then plaster over it. That way, you don't see anything and can break it open if needed.
