Hello everyone,
We are building a house with Allkauf Haus and are currently facing a difficult decision.
As is well known, most Allkauf Haus homes include a kitchen in the price. This is a kitchen from the Impuls brand with Miele appliances.
We can have this planned either via email or directly on site in Brilon (a 2-hour drive).
Key details: L-shaped kitchen (2500 x 2550mm (98 x 100 inches)) in IP1200 (the lower price range), with Miele appliances except for the range hood.
We already know this wouldn’t be sufficient for us. Not least because we want a U-shaped kitchen. Also, the finishes in IP1200 will likely need to be upgraded to something better. In addition, wall cabinets will probably be added.
Yesterday we visited Küchen-Staude in Hannover and had a kitchen designed according to our preferences.
Key details: Culineo kitchen in U-shape (3200 x 2000 x 2000mm (126 x 79 x 79 inches)) with vintage oak fronts and a countertop in lava stone look. Equipped with high-quality appliances worth around 7,000 euros. The centerpiece is the Gutmann range hood (which we would also need to buy separately for the other kitchen).
Final price: 12,500 euros including measurement, assembly, and installation (which is not included with the other option, so mistakes could cause problems).
Now we are considering what to do next. Does anyone have realistic experience with kitchen planning from Impuls? Maybe even in a setup like ours?
Discarding the Impuls kitchen doesn’t make sense since we wouldn’t get any credit for it. However, we could keep the appliances and sell them individually, then put that money into the kitchen we want.
Thank you very much.

No, it’s not too late yet. However, the initial planning has been done by a kitchen studio. We also considered not having a corner sink, but then we would face space problems. What exactly do you mean by waste under the countertop?
