Good day.
I noticed that a door handle (brushed stainless steel) has light rust spots (not surface rust).
Could it be that disinfectant wipes cause such rust spots on stainless steel handles?
Thank you

Yes, that is possible.

It depends on the composition of the steel and the impurities that occur during manufacturing or later use.

Even stainless steel can, under certain circumstances, rust quite easily.

Yep, I agree with Mycraft. Many people mistakenly believe that stainless steel cannot corrode. However, for various reasons, it can—aggressive cleaning agents are among them.

Take a picture, maybe it can be easily fixed.

We have one as well, although it is in a spot nobody would ever touch. How do you remove it, with sandpaper?

Picture? Definitely, sandpaper is one option.
