Hello, I am currently in the planning phase of a loft conversion/remodel.
I have the following question:
Attached is a picture of a "glass box" used as a cozy corner. Is such a glass structure very expensive? Also, in terms of structural engineering, is it legally allowed? What are your thoughts? Thank you very much for your help/answers/ideas, etc.
Best regards,
Andi

The biggest nonsense ... a perfect invitation for energy to go to waste. Otherwise, eventually, you just don't feel like watching the neighbors fiddling around anymore.

If you like that style...

From an energy efficiency perspective, it’s really the absolute worst. However, it looks stylish—if you clean the windows every day, since they have no roof overhang and are recessed behind the wall plane, leaving them exposed to the weather.

Looks very original.
But I don’t think it’s as cozy as you think. It actually has all the features that make a seating area uncomfortable [emoji853]

Cuddling? I wouldn’t even sit in there just to read...
But apparently, there are people who don’t mind being watched while doing anything 😉
Energy-wise it’s just wasteful, as already mentioned.
But if you like it...?

All right, thank you very much for your replies and opinions. I don’t have any neighbors on this side, and the energy efficiency aspect is, of course, important and must be taken into account. Best regards
