Ironpump817 Oct 2020 15:23Hello everyone,
We need to retain a small slope on our new build towards the neighbor’s property. The height is somewhere between 80 and 100cm (31 and 39 inches). Of course, everyone suggests L-shaped retaining walls. I find those ugly and, to be honest, quite expensive.
Now I’ve seen concrete fences online – concrete posts that are set in concrete, with concrete panels of various designs inserted between them.
Is something like this suitable for retaining a slope, or do you have other suggestions?
If possible, the system used to retain the slope should not be too wide, since our garage and driveway start directly next to it.
Looking forward to your suggestions and advice.
Best regards

It is difficult to provide meaningful advice based on such vaguely worded text questions. I don’t understand the situation clearly, which side is higher, who has modified or intends to modify the terrain, and so on.

Hello everyone,
We need to retain a small slope on our new build property that borders our neighbor’s lot. The height is somewhere between 80 and 100cm (31 and 39 inches). Of course, everyone suggests L-shaped concrete blocks. I find those unattractive and, not to mention, quite expensive.
Now I have seen concrete fences online—concrete posts that are set in concrete, with concrete panels of various designs fitted between them.
Is something like this also suitable for retaining a slope, or do you have other suggestions?
If possible, the system used to retain the slope shouldn’t be too wide because our garage and driveway start immediately next to it.
Looking forward to your suggestions and advice.
