I just saw a report on this topic this week: "Cradle-to-cradle" also in the construction industry.

It exists and is feasible. However, only if the building is constructed from the start using the appropriate materials and techniques. This means that only with new constructions, where special attention is paid to this, will it eventually be possible to recycle the materials efficiently on a significant scale.

That said, when considering time horizons of 50 to 100 years, I also think that completely new materials and technologies might be available by then...
