I received a doorbell/video intercom system as a gift. It is a Somfy V400. Unfortunately, the location where I can install it is on a wall that only reaches waist height. This means I can no longer see the head through the camera.
Now I’m wondering whether I should angle the doorbell with a bracket or build a metal stand on the wall to mount the doorbell. The second option would be more elegant for capturing face height.
I went to the hardware store looking for a suitable stand but couldn’t find one. Has anyone ever built something like this or can offer advice on where to find a suitable stand?

I was actually hoping for a simpler solution. The problem is that the locksmith work will cost a significant amount of money. Additionally, from my experience, there are no locksmiths in my area (Darmstadt) who would take on a job like this. They are all fully booked here. Finding someone is almost impossible…
I would also contact a local metalworker. It doesn’t have to be as expensive as people often think. Yes, single orders can sometimes come with high prices, but that often means they’re not very interested in taking on the job. Asking doesn’t cost anything, so I would just give it a try.
Alternatively, look for mailboxes, outdoor lamps, etc., where you can cut off the box at the top and keep the post.
